Calling all young composers: SCA is offering an unmissable opportunity for young composers in Gloucestershire to have their music performed by leading professional musicians at two composer workshops.

Geoffrey Poole is a highly respected composer & pianist of international reputation and former Professor of Music at Bristol University.

Saturday 8 July 7.30pm: GAM Senior strings: concert with Carducci Quartet as section leaders;
The Carducci is a quartet of outstanding international reputation based in Gloucestershire well known for its education work.
If you live in Gloucestershire and are studying music at GCSE or A level and have already written music for string quartet or for violin and piano, or would like to do so, this opportunity is for you.
SCA composer/members including Geoffrey Poole, David Greenhorne, James D’Angelo and Jolyon Laycock will be available to give help and guidance on all aspects of your composition.

We can accept scores produced using music software or as a hand-written manuscript.
Scores can be sent electronically in Sibelius 7 (or earlier) or as a pdf file, or as hard copies in the post.
