Feedback & Testimonials:

“To say that I never want the lessons with Jon to stop is an understatement. He is incredibly patient, generous, informed and a huge talent of his craft. He knows the ebbs and flow of teaching , the see-sawing of pushing one’s boundaries and making sessions fun. Jon truly listens to what is happening in the here and now. I have treasured every second and look forward to many more sessions in the future. Thank you!” Evelyn Glennie

“Jon has worked with South West Music School for several years, contributing to a wide range of advanced-level residential courses and workshop activities. His musical expertise and enthusiasm consistently inspire and motivate students, and his professional yet friendly approach makes him highly regarded by both students and fellow tutors alike. We look forward to working with him again in the future.” Jennie Troup – SWMS Programme Manager.

“Jon Sterckx has been an inspiring and highly popular associate lecturer in the University of Plymouth Music department for a number of years. His inputs range from workshop/recitals in classical Indian music, the exploration of Middle Eastern percussion via a more world music dynamic, through to exciting demonstrations involving live sampling and music technology.
Jon is sensitive to the leanings of the contemporary music student and also understands the requirements of the university system, having directed sizeable elements of taught modules.
He is 100% reliable and we always look forward to his various inputs.” Phil Hull, Head of Music, University of Plymouth, Devon.
